Angelina Jolie (period)

There’s something innocent about Angelina Jolie as Kate Libby in Hackers. While both are in reality young badasses (she was only 20 at the time of filming) the character styling feels a bit clumsy for AJ, herself being naturally too sexual for the boyish hair (what-in-the diy) - the clothes hang limp over her breasts swallowing her thin frame. Which is why the character felt like it was wearing her and not the other way around.

It’s not the first time they tried to make AJ look terrible. The wigs, styling, makeup in Life or Something Like It would have color analysts in a chokehold. She somehow manages to always look like herself though. Unmistakable eyes, pout, voice. Sometimes you see something parts of her essence in others, a déjà-vu. Like how people would see Mary Magdalene in their toast, leaks on their ceiling, in the floor tiles.
